MANX!!

topic posted Tue, December 7, 2004 - 12:41 AM by  Leslie
I am crazy about the cats born without tails. I have had several, they just seem to pick me for the person in their lives. I posted pictures in the PhotoGallery here. LittleOne and IggI are their names. Iggi has these total rabbit-like legs, sometimes they look unnatural! He has nothing tail-like on his butt. LittleOne has one of those stubby tails that wiggles back and forth when you speak his name.
Anybody else have a manx?

Our neighbors moved and left their cat and it had babies and they had babies and so on (which is very sad), but there is a black and white one without a tail and he is very cute. I feel bad..I just want to help out the abandoned kitties, but most of them are wild and full grown.
I am just glad we live in the country and not even close to the road which gives them mice and saftey!

i HATE that when people abandon thier pets.
my roomate left his cat that he only got to impress some girl.
i already had a cat and then he jumped rent too and we had to move fast..so i was almost homeless with two cats and no money.
but i did find a kick ass place that i have to pay pet rent on. but the have three big rooms to run around in.
i dont think that cat liked the roomate very much anyway.
        he was loud and obnoxious....
i am so glad that took her though.
she was on kitty death row when he got her.
a grandma moved into a high rise and had to give up her pets.
she is a total blanket diving cuddle kitties.
        ahhhhhhhhh
        kitties

Thats lame he got it just to impress a girl. But like you said its good that the kitty got adopted...since he/she was on death row. I just hate the fact that kitties have to die because people don't spay , or nuder or take care of their cats. people don't understand that they are living. breathing creatures.

My kitty that is dying now, LittleOne, age 19,came to me in a convoluted way... He was part of my old boyfriend's baggage. A few months after we moved in together he brought the cat. LittleOne had been living with his old girlfriend, and she was moving out of her place and moving into a new place that allowed no pets.
When we broke up and he moved out he eventually took Littleone to his new place. After a couple of weeks the X realized he could't care for LittleOne- or more accurately, that LittleOne was being fed by the neighbors and that made him look irresponsible. (he was!)
So one night I came home and suprise! there was LittleOne, waiting for me at the back door. The X had just unceremoniously dropped him off with no note or even any of his kitty stuff!
Funny thing was that a few years later, after a unsuccessful attempt getting back together, in a fury the X bellowed at me, "Oh by the way, you can keep the cat!"
I don't believe how ignorant some people can be!
